Yes it has an express card slot. As for HD editing, this is one of the most demanding things you can do on a computer so the rule is, the more you spend, the better equipped it will be to do it. This model is probably as low as you can go for such a task, but it won't do it quickly.

Yes it is a 0.3mp camera but that wont make any difference to you if your using it for the video side of things as that is the same on this level camera and higher mp cameras. The mp rate will only affect still images

No as downgrading from vista home is very tricky. The drivers for vista home are completely different from the ones XP use. If you contact Acer they maybe able to supply the correct drivers for XP.

The screen will go upto 1366 x 768, the machine does have TV out via VGA connector and will also display through the HDMI connection , there is going to be a model with a freeview tuner but currently not released.
