Everybody wants to be entertained. When you buy a laptop for that purpose you want it to deliver on all fronts, and that’s exactly what the HP Pavilion DV8 does. It comes with the brand new Windows 7 operating system too so you’ll be a step ahead of everyone else in the laptop crowd.
An entertainment laptop needs some muscle behind it to run your demanding applications and play your games and movies smoothly. The DV8 comes with an Intel Core processor and a huge 4GB RAM - expandable up to a frankly ridiculous 8GB - so it’ll have no trouble with your multimedia multitasking. Want to download some new music whilst playing a few rounds on Call of Duty? Go for it.
When you’re going to be watching films and playing games obviously you’ll want everything to look stunning; visuals are the key to any entertainment experience. The DV8’s massive 18.4” HD LED display and its NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M graphics card ensure that whether you’re jumping into the action on the battlefield or getting sitting back with a rom-com, you’ll be enjoying an amazing visual treat.
With a HP laptop the great looks aren’t restricted to the screen; this laptop is designed to turn heads, dispelling the idea that your laptop has to be a dreary grey box and injecting some style into your computing. It comes with a hefty amount of storage space for all your multimedia files too, boasting an enormous 640GB hard drive that’ll give you more than enough room for anything you need to save.
A large part of entertainment is interaction so connectivity is a must. The DV8 comes packed with features to help you stay in touch, including wireless internet, an integrated webcam and an HDMI port so you can hook your laptop up to your TV for some seriously impressive visuals.
If you want a laptop designed for pure entertainment then the HP Pavilion DV8 is for you.

Question from Amanda Robinson: Asked on 13/01/2010 I am a little confused. As the above question about the hard drives seems to have a corrupted word or two in it, can I ask again about the HDDs please.
Your front page says it has 1 x 320gb HDD
Your Product Summary says it has 1 x 620gb HDD
And your tech spec says it has 2 x 320gb HDD
Can you say which of these is true please?
I don’t know whether you have these laptops on display, but if not, can you say whether the screen is good enough for quality photo editing, in particular are the colours as true as say a top end AW Sony Vaio?
Thanks in advance
Amanda Robinson
