LG 19LU7000 19inch HD LCD TV with Freeview

SKU: 19LU7000 Quickfind Code: 452681
HD-Ready

High-definition television, or HDTV, is a new standard of TV with better-quality picture and sound than normal TV , the sort of standard you would see at a cinema. HDTV brings you closer to the action, offering more colours and a higher resolution picture (twice as many horizontal lines). This can make HDTV images clearer, sharper, more detailed and very life-like.
With a contrast ratio of 8,000:1, this LG HDTV provides vivid images, even in a bright environment, eliminating optical glare and minimizing light reflection.
Sometimes when watching films it is difficult to hear voices over the background sound of their environment. The clear voice feature adjusts the sound balance to emphasis voices and reduce background noise. Freeview is a subscription-free service that delivers up to 48 digital TV channels, including ITV2, E4, BBC3, and Film4-plus 24 digital radio stations, with no contract and no satellite dish.
Connect your High Definition devices such as games console or blu-ray player through the two HDMI ports for a true High Definition multimedia experience.
Save space and streamline your home entertainment, without sacrificing picture quality. View DVDs at 720p, and play back most other recordable formats.

Question from hugh: Asked on 23/01/2010 Does the DVD and/or USB part of this equipment play avi or divx files?

Answer from Mark: Answered on 24/01/2010
USB is definitely not capable. divX may be playable via DVD but it's doubtful being an integrated unit. The spec doesn't mention it which 9/10 times means it doesn't have.

Question from Dan: Asked on 15/01/2010 I have a device that allows the picture from the tv in the main room to be seen on the second tv (2 Scart plugged in antennae, 1 in each tv). Since getting HD this no longer works on the non-HD tv. Will it work with this tv?

Answer from jeremy: Answered on 18/01/2010
It should still work. You needto check how you have it connected

Question from Peggy: Asked on 14/01/2010 Hello - I understood that by plugging in a high performance USB stick, such as a San Disc 16 GB Extreme Cruzer Contour USB2 flash player, that recording TV progs is possible. Do hope so as I have just ordered this model.

Answer from Mark : Answered on 20/01/2010
You could indeed connect the TV but what would tell the USB stick to record? I don't believe this is possible but cannot confirm as I'm unfamiliar with the stick you refer to.

Question from Dave: Asked on 11/01/2010 Can the a USB memory device be used to record tv?

not with this

Question from Jonathan A: Asked on 01/01/2010 Are you sure you can not wall mount this unit as other sites are saying you can ... also the rear view clearly shows the standard holes for a wall mount to be added ... as this is a very important feature of a TV this size could you reconfirm this Question. Thanks

Answer from jeremy: Answered on 04/01/2010
We were told, originally, that the stand could not be removed, making it free standing only. LG have revised the specifications, making the stand removable, and wall mountable
