Question from Paul: Asked on 02/01/2009 Hi - I'm having problems configuring SKY Plus through the HDD recorder. Currently, the only digital channels recognised by the HDD are the Freeview ones supplied when I recently bought the 40W4000. Any ideas? There also seems a slight difference in picture quality between the Freeview digital channels eg BBC 1 and the Skyplus ones even though they are both the same. ???

your HDD will have freeview built in, unless its really old. thats why you're getting those channels. to record anythiing from your sky box, on your hdd, you will do this via one of the av channels. As for signal differences, yes there is a difference. one is digital satelite and the other is terestrial. the satelite signal will always be better

1 year standard, but you can claim a 5 year warranty if the TV is bought instore

It comes with 1 year warranty. However Sony offers an extended warranty, up to 5 yrs, but this is for orders over the counter not over the web.
