If you're laptop supports N band wireless then this router will be able to pick that up instead of the standard a, b or g bands. N band wireless is up to three times quicker than the others.

Question from Darcy: Asked on 18/08/2008 Is this strong enough to allow me use the internet on my laptop outside the house in the garden?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 19/08/2008
There are a lot of factors that determine how good a signal you get on a wireless network. Generally the router antenna is more powerful than the laptop antenna - It is OK for finding the signal, as this is just one-way traffic from the router to the laptop - The hard part is the transmitter on the laptop being powerful enough to send to the router. Another factor is the distance between the router and the laptop, and what is inbetween. Thick brick walls don't help much, but wireless signals pass easily through glass, so placing your router behind a window or in a room with a window to the garden will solve this problem.
