Fifth-Generation Intel Core i5

The fifth-generation Intel Core i5 processor will handle whatever you throw at it, allowing you to multi-task and work on intensive applications without experiencing any lag. Applications run faster and more efficiently than before. So everything you normally do on a computer you can do even quicker. Send email, write reports, create presentations, touch up photos, edit home movies and all the little (and big) tasks in between.

4K Retina display

With over nine million pixels on show, the 4K Retina display on 21.4-inch iMac is a dazzling experience that you have to experience to really understand how stunning it is. Designed to ensure that your eyes won’t be able to discern individual pixels from a normal viewing distance, images take on a new level of realism, while text is sharp and clear. Colours on the Retina display are rich and vibrant, while a high contrast ratio makes blacks appear blacker and whites whiter.

Sleeker wireless accessories

An extra sprinkle of fairy dust has been added to the wireless accessories to give them all a more spellbinding shape. The Magic Keyboard has had the cylindrical battery section removed, allowing it to lie completely flat. A similar design update was given to the Magic Trackpad 2, as it's now white all over for a cleaner look and has the functionality to support Force Touch gestures (same as MacBook Pro). The Magic Mouse 2 has also been revamped, making it lighter yet sturdier, with an optimised base for a smoother glide.

High-speed Connectivity

iMac is packed full of connectivity options, including 802.11ac Wi-Fi, giving you superior performance over an 802.11ac router. It also packs four USB 3.0 ports for then times the performance of USB 2.0, two Thunderbolt ports for connecting compatible monitors and hard drives for data transfer at rapid speeds. It also includes Bluetooth, an SDXC card slot, Ethernet port and a Mini DisplayPort.

Mac OS X El Capitan

Building on the successful design of OS X Yosemite, the latest version is enhanced to deliver an updated interface, new full-screen views and a change to the way you arrange the windows on your desktop. In addition to the full-screen view, there’s also a new Split View to let you see the two apps you have open next to each other.

Plus, OS X El Capitan has a large variety to new functions and features to make your life even easier. For example, the just wiggle your finger trackpad or shake your mouse to find your cursor, which to help you spot it momentarily grows in size. Also, Spotlight lets you search for your documents and apps using everyday language, helping you to find what you’re looking for. Notepad isn’t just dealing with text, but will be able to handle PDFs, photos, URLs and map locations.
