With ergonomics inspired by popular video game controllers, the Solo controller feels natural from the moment you pick it up. Along with precise flight control sticks, its face features dedicated buttons for one-touch automatic flight, including auto takeoff and land, auto return home and land, as well as pause. The controller enables you to shoot like a pro from day one. Easily adjust camera tilt positions and speed, instantly capture a photo or even start and stop your GoPro recording during flight. All of this while a crystal clear HD view of the action is streamed directly to your mounted mobile device.
Built-in Wifi and HDMI Keeping Safety First
The computer in the Solo controller powers both a WiFi hub to keep you constantly connected and a built-in HDMI port for live broadcast video feed, giving you the ability to send live streaming HD video out to just about any screen you can imagine. In case you ever need it, the pause button immediately brings Solo to a mid-air halt-and-hover so you can regain your bearings. The onscreen colour display tells you exactly what’s going on during flight and the controller will instantly alert you if something goes wrong. The controller is also Solo’s “black box” saving valuable data to its internal memory.
3DR Solo App Thinks of Everything
The Solo app is fully integrated into both copter and camera for a seamless shooting experience. View a live HD feed from your GoPro, have one-touch control of all of Solo’s Smart Shots and access GoPro controls during flight, including start and stop recording. Change Solo’s speed and agility, set Solo’s maximum altitude and assign controller button pre-sets. Choose between the live camera view from your GoPro or an overhead satellite map view. Pinpoint geographic location, or dial in your shot and Smart Shot flight paths with your fingertip while simultaneously monitoring your live feed.
Automatically Update and Record Straight to Mobile
The Solo app also handles all the updates for the drone, controller and gimbal – no wires, cards or any other processes or accessories needed. The app also alerts you if Solo detects any problems, letting you submit a service ticket to customer support immediately, even while you’re still in the field. What’s more, with your shots recorded to your camera roll, you have full freedom to instantly share them, review them with others in the field without having to land, or drop them directly into any other apps.
