Question from callum: Asked on 22/07/2007 Does this device come with a separate remote, or just the windows media centre one? Also can you store the channels or do you have to scan each time you turn it on??

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 24/07/2007
The TV tuner can be controlled with the media center remote and does store the TV channel settings.

Question from Ken: Asked on 06/07/2007 Does it work on vista home premium. does it need any extra drivers to work with vista, and does the remote work with Vista windows media player.

This package works with Vista though drivers are required from the Hauppauge website. The remote can be set up to work with Media Player.

Question from jackareeno: Asked on 25/04/2007 hey so i just connect the stick to the laptop and thats it??? do i need to attach a portable aerial or is it just a set top box i need to also purchase im thinking of getting one of these for uni as i dont want to lug a tv around..

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 27/04/2007
all you need with this is an aerial input and youre all sorted. you could use the portable one included or plug in a more powerful roof input.

Question from Laura: Asked on 17/04/2007 Can i plug this into my sky box and record?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 17/04/2007
The TV tuner has a UK aerial socket, so you can view any picture delivered on an aerial cable.

Question from GeoffB: Asked on 06/04/2007 Can this be used with standard terrestrial aerial - I cant get freeview in my area yet?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 10/04/2007
this will only work if you can get freeview in your area. It is like having a set top box but it plugs into your computer. The idea behind these is to have a form of portable TV working through your computer

Question from lgm: Asked on 29/03/2007 Can this be used without WinXP media? I don't think it can, my new laptop with XP Pro will not run the remote. It says it can not find WinXP media and that is as far as it will go. The WinTV stick is great, but would be really great if the remote could work.

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 30/03/2007
The Media Center remote control only works with XP Media Center Edition, or Windows Vista.
