Question from ginner159: Asked on 08/10/2008 hello, i would first like to say i'm glad i bought this laptop (7720g) as it just works!! by that i used to have a dell inspiron and that just blew up. this i have had no problems!!!

now my question is what will i need in order to use the SPDIF connection? and would i be able to output the sound to say my tv's audio input via this method?

Answer from peterh: Answered on 08/10/2008
The SPDIF output on this laptop is an optical socket that is built in to the headphone socket. If your TV has an optical input then you will need a TOSlink to Mini Toslink cable (Mini Toslink plugs into laptop, Toslink plugs into TV).

Question from Lou: Asked on 31/07/2008 I know someone with the 7720G (LX.ALN0X.488) and it looks completely different to the picture. does this laptop look like the picture, or does it look like the 7720G? (apart from the size, obviously)

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 31/07/2008
This 7720 looks as it does in the images. Variations in the 7720 range include the colour of the plastic around the screen - on some models it is white, others it is black. For more specific information, have a look on www.acer.co.uk

Question from rodders: Asked on 01/04/2008 I cant make up my mind which would be the best 7720 for me.
I want this product for the 17" screen, please can you say which of either the..
Radeon or Nviida graphic cards would be best for games?
Will a memory upgrade be of any use?
Can you send me some dicount vouchers please lol.

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 02/04/2008
I suggest the 7720G ( product code LX.ALN0X.248 ) as it offers the best gaming performance for the money. A memory upgrade is always beneficial to performance as games and applications are becoming increasingly demanding on memory. An ideal amount of memory is 4GB.

Question from Graham: Asked on 19/03/2008 Does this lap-top have bluetooth ?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 27/03/2008
Sorry it does not have bluetooth. You can make it blue tooth enable by USB bluetooth adapter (Targus Bluetooth USB Adapter ) by just plugging it in USb port.

Question from Mel: Asked on 10/03/2008 Can I still install software intended for Windows XP, like print shop 20 and card factory.

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 11/03/2008
As with all software intended for XP, it should work on Vista but there are instances where it may not work. Try searching online for other people's experiences with running this software on Vista.

Question from ooktay: Asked on 26/11/2007 Hi; I am confused between a couple of laptops in your website; which one to buy.. Could you please answer my questions:
1) Is graphics card has its own (discrete) memory?
2) What is RPM of the hard disk and does it have a buffer mem?
3)Can I ask any of memory, graphics card or OS upgrade or reduction due to my choice during purchase?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 27/11/2007
The graphics card has 256MB of dedicated memory. I believe the hard drive is 5400rpm. Please call us to discuss upgrade requirements, however we cannot upgrade the graphics card.

Question from Pepe: Asked on 20/11/2007 Hi.I have asked you before, but i have to be more specific.I am not sure if to buy this acer laptop or the 5920G(the one with 1G turbo).....and basicly I need it for games but I need for playing music loud in (clubs) so I need good soundoutput and I dont know which one from these two to choose.I mean this one still has 256 graf card so it will play few games.......Have you got a telephone number so I can call and ask if I need.many thanks.Regards

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 21/11/2007
As previously mentioned it depends on the Aspire 7720 you are looking at both are fine for gaming. As for sound output the 7720 has sound blaster compatible sound card, however both will have a similar kind of output power. However I believe the 7720 will have the edge however marginal. Question from Rabbani: Asked on 21/08/2007 Is the performance of this system better or worse than the 5920 and is the graphics card better than the 5920 and which would you suggest to buy ?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 30/08/2007
The Aspire 5920 offers slightly more performance as it is slightly more expensive model. If you need gaming performance I would suggest going for the 5920 however, for more general use the Aspire 7720 will be perfect.
