Linux is an alternative to Windows XP, the programs for one will only run on another if they say so. Microsoft software will not run on Linux.

Question from samwel: Asked on 08/05/2008 How much memory can this take, and also is there an official release date and price for the intel atom processor version as i would like to know if it is worth waiting for the better processor. thanks

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 12/05/2008
The atom-cored EEE PC will be released at the end of June this year, although as with all EEE PCs we are expecting very high demand for them. The EEE PC has only one slot and has 1024mb as standard - I suspect this may be the maximum amount it can take.
