The V5-531 is a 15.6" notebook?
It would fit such a machine but I would recommend one more suited to 15.6" screen sizes.

As the screen size id measured diagonally, the actual width difference is well under that amount so the bag should just about hold it although it will be a squeeze.

No, the 8920 is 3cm too wide and deep to fit. The Targus TCC008EU would hold it though.
