Regarding Office 2007, what are the pros and cons of taking up the trial version as opposed to buying the retail version from you? Is the trial version much cheaper to compensate for (presumably) offering only 1 license instead of 3?

The trial version of office is just that, a trial and so will only last a short time (30 days or 30 goes) the full version has no restrictions and will run for as long as you need it.

The 5920 would be ok for photo manipulation although a machine with a dedicated graphics card would be better. The trial is either 30 days or 30 hits.

The laptops OS is put on by the manufacturer before dispatch and unfortunately we can't downgrade Vista Home to XP.

Question from Kevin: Asked on 18/08/2008 Can any software be installed on this laptop without making the warranty void. Software such as Microsoft XP as it already comes pre-installed with Microsoft Vista.

It can invalidate the warranty unfortunately and installing XP over vista home can be a little tricky as all drivers need to be replaced which can be difficult to find if there are none on the Acer website.
