You need a 64 bit operating system to be able to run more than 3.5GB of ram and this one has a 32 bit system so its 4GB max

It has a 3.5 mm jack point for connect8ing speakers to. If you want to get it hooked up to your hi fi, then I would suggest having a look for an external sound card which has the correct ports to hook it up.
