If you save the Word files as .doc they will be able to opened up in the Linux word processing program and computers with any version of MS office

You can download a trial verson of Office and then enter a lincence key from the disc of a full version to unlock it to the full version

It is fine for email, face-book, Twitter etc, but as for games not too good at all, it has no optical drive, so loading games is difficult. It does take a dongle. Sorry, but I have to be honest. Take a look at the laptops in the refurb section, some of the A1/A2 graded machines are a real bargain.

This an grade a2 laptop which means its a return with some minor cosmetic damage. Linux can be used with pretty much anything you'll use on windows and comes with Office lite for word processing, spreadsheets etc.

No, stay away from netbooks for music production and spend your money on something with a lot of ram and a fast processor, especially if you're using soft synths.

No This unit comes with Linux OS Installed and is not compatible with MS Office 2007 However you do get Open Office Installed on the Unit.

The screen will be fine, the damage for an A2 is classed as light scratches to the body. With the acer netbooks as they have a glossy lid, the scratches are usually there.

Yes, its meant as a travel machine but I don;t know about the webkey, you'll need to check with whoever provides the webkey.
