Question from Peter Bradley: Asked on 13/03/2013 So the camera is wireless to the receiver, but both have a mains supply plug to plug the adapter/charger in. How do I connect a monitor? Can I use a laptop? Or something cheaper used specifically for CCRV? Is this also wires, not just from the camera to the receiver, but from the receiver to the monitor/screen?? An answer would be greatly appreciated.

Answer from Gavin: Answered on 20/03/2013
The wireless receiver connects via AV cables to a monitor or a DVR unit for recording.

Thanks

Question from conrad: Asked on 08/01/2013 I need to use this camera in a nestbox. Is this suitable?

Answer from Gavin: Answered on 09/01/2013
Hi, what do you mean by nest box, a birds nest?

It is weather proof and wireless, but it still needs mains power. It still has to plug into a plug socket.

If you can source power then it will be fine.

Thanks

Question from peter C: Asked on 13/11/2012 if you have a wireless LAN in your house will this work?

Answer from Gavin: Answered on 18/11/2012
No, this camera is designed to connect to a wireless receiver, which will in turn need to connect to a DVR.

What you are referring to is an IP camera. But these will still need software running on a PC or server to work properly.

Please call me on 01484 481130 or email me directly at gavinwilson@iviewcameras to discuss further.

Question from andrea: Asked on 15/06/2012 Hi I want to use this camera in my kitchen and connect to my tv in the bedroom, whats the distance it will go between each? and if its ordered today on £4.95 del price will it be posted today?

Answer from Gavin: Answered on 20/06/2012
I would say about 30m when going through walls and doors in a normal house.

£9.95 is for delivery tomorrow, £4.95 for up to 4 working days later.

Question from Tony: Asked on 31/05/2012 will this product work on a 64 bit computer or laptop as most receivers will only work with 32 bit computers & laptops

Answer from Gavin: Answered on 04/06/2012
Hi, this receiver is designed to plug into a DVR (digital video recorder) unit, or straight into a monitor for live viewing. A PC will not be able to offer storage, only our DVR's.

Thanks

Question from Becky: Asked on 07/02/2011 can you buy more cameras for this or can you only use the one it comes with?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 08/02/2011
You can buy the extra cameras 901T, but we have found that its generally better to use 1 camera to 1 receiver as there is less interference and drop out

Question from tony: Asked on 19/07/2010 can this be run on a 9v battery with a 2.1 conecter or be used with a 12v battery&conecter

Answer from mark h: Answered on 20/07/2010
its unlikely, I don't think a battery will provide enough current to run it

Question from michelle: Asked on 26/11/2009 how do you power up the mini cam is it battery operated or mains?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 27/11/2009
