The ThinkPlus Portable 80GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive with Rescue and Recovery is an external hard drive providing a complete software image recovery solution for both ThinkPad and ThinkCentre users. This high-capacity, 5400 rpm bootable drive allows straight-forward recovery of your previously saved system image and data. Rescue and Recovery is a recovery and restore solution that includes a set of self-recovery tools to help users diagnose, get help and recover from system crashes quickly, even if the primary operating system will not boot and you are remote from your support team.

  • 80GB 5400 rpm hard drive with pre-loaded recovery and restore solution that you can take on the road
  • Includes ThinkVantage Rescue and Recovery software (version 3) which enables you to create a complete image backup of data files and folders, applications and operating system, allowing later restoration of application customisation parameters and the recovery of encrypted files
  • Communicate using the Internet, provided you are connected through a wired Ethernet connection
  • View information that may be helpful to you or a service technician
  • Bootable: with boot-to-USB support in the system BIOS, you can boot directly from the drive to initiate a full system restore
  • Improved password and user management for pre-boot security over the previous version
  • Portable USB hard disk drive can also be used for simple file backup or storage of larger files such as audio and video clips
  • No drivers, batteries, or external power adapter required, just plug into two USB ports and use with systems running Microsoft Windows XP
  • High-speed USB 2.0 interface is backward compatible with USB 1.1
