Question from tlrdave1000: Asked on 09/08/2008 Hi we have just bought the 37in finlux and were having problems we cant watch it for more than 10 min because the picture is out of focus, even when we play a DVD it is still out of focus, the screen is all blured when the camera shot moves around what is the problem and how do we sort it out.

Thanks David Hutton

Please contact our customer service team for further assistance.

Question from irene: Asked on 05/08/2008 Your techincal spec says the 37" Finlux has 2x analogue tuners? I thought this had digital Freeview on board? Maybe I don't understand. Also, what will football matches look like on this, just running freeview, until I can afford to go to HD. I mean will there be any motion blur, and if so is there anything like a sport setting that would compensate? Thanks

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 06/08/2008
this has both analogue & digital tuners. to try and reduce motion blur you need to look at a set that has 100hz refresh

Question from chris: Asked on 11/07/2008 Just bought one and the quality is superb. Running through a V+ box (had to call Virgin to get it to reboot in HD mode, but no problem really), I reckon it's second to none after extensive research (ie an hour in Currys). Don't believe the review by PCPro - colour saturation can be changed easily, then it looks great.

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 14/07/2008
thanks for the comments

Question from simon: Asked on 10/05/2008 Is the inbuilt digital tuner capable of receiving a HD signal from freeview or is it only a standard definition tuner?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 12/05/2008
Freeview does not carry HD stations yet - When this is implemented, you will need a Freeview HD box. Integrated DVB-T tuners are SD only.

Question from Josh C: Asked on 19/04/2008 Does this tv support Dolby 5.1 surround sound?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 21/04/2008
This TV has outputs for the digital freeview, but if you wish to connect other devices to your TV such as consoles etc. you should connect the audio from these devices directly to your home cinema / amplifier.

Question from James: Asked on 10/04/2008 Hi, im after a new tv, wall mountable, I have been thinking about the finlux 37" 1080p and the Samsung 37" 1080p and will be sat about 8 feet away from it, I will only be using free view, Xbox 360 and dvd's, will this be over the top for what I need?? Also would a Plasma be better for what im viewing, I will be looking at upgrading to HD in about 3 years, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 11/04/2008
OK, Max size TV I would go for would be 37 inch, anything bigger will look pixelated. as to going for plasma or LCD, LCd is best for well lit rooms as you don't get any reflection off the screens. If you room is darker then go for plasma, but you can't get a 1080p plasma at 37 inch. If you are going to switch to High def then you're best off going for a Samsung, or if you can afford, the new Panasonics, as they are both more versatile than the Finlux. If money is an issue go for the Finlux as you get a lot for your money

Question from Richthebadger: Asked on 08/04/2008 Great Product, have connected to V+ and Xbox 360, be aware though, through Component connected to the 360 it can only view 1080i and 760p, 1080p is only supported through HDMI.

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 08/04/2008
thanks

Question from JebusFG: Asked on 01/04/2008 what would this tv be like for watching blueray movies & also what surround sound output does it have?
thanks

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 04/04/2008
yes its good with Blu-ray, we have one setup in our showroom. 10 watts per channel output

Question from Richthebadger: Asked on 31/03/2008 Hi
I'm very interested in this set, only worries on these, I’m stuck with V+ and will be for a while, I have Sky Sports and Setanta to watch football, I don't get the HD service through Virgin and I heard most LCD produce ghosting for events like football, how does this TV cope with action like sporting events and would I be better off with a set which has 100Mhz Progressive (Something like the Samsung M/N series?). It would also be used for Xbox 360, DVDs and SD viewing on Virgin.

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 01/04/2008
Ghosting is caused by poor signal and low resolutions. In reality the only way to greatly counteract ghosting would be to go for a 37 inch plasma like the new Pansonics, as it is a problem that plasmas don't realy suffer from

Question from hen54: Asked on 26/03/2008 is this tv brand new and boxed??

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 27/03/2008
yes it is

Question from Drusy: Asked on 20/03/2008 I would just like to praise this TV and the delivery time was spot on. We are blown away by the quality, and we haven't yet switched to HD reception or player, just bog standard Sky. I would like to ask if there is a screen saver or a facility to listen to just the sound, in order to prevent ghosting when listening to digital radio on Sky?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 25/03/2008
the only way to do this would be to have it all connected via a surround system. this way you could have the TV turned off but still get the sound

Question from Tony W: Asked on 15/03/2008 I Have connected my amp into the tv but when I turn on the dvd the sound from the hi fi speakers stays with the broadcast channel and not the dvd, Can I correct this or do I have to keep changing the connectors from the dvd back to the tv,can you help???

Thanks

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 17/03/2008
Obviously the amp will only play the channel that is conected to it. It all depends on the model of your surround system as to what it can do

Question from Tom: Asked on 07/03/2008 I don't have a TV licence and want a screen to use with a DVD player and a games console. Is it possible to detune the digital tuner on this TV as you would an analogue tuner so that it can officially *not* receive TV transmissions, so that I can avoid needing a TV licence?

any devise, that is capable of receiving a TV signal requires a TV licence. This even applies to vhs & DVD recorders. your only option is to buy a large PC monitor

Question from Mike: Asked on 31/01/2008 Iwasv interested in purchasing a Samsung LE37R87BDX fromyou & then noticed the Finlux37FLH760 at the same price. Not being familiar with the Finlux brand & that I will be viewing TV via the freeview facility as well as watching DVDs which set would be more appropriate?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 31/01/2008
It all depends on what you may be watching in the future. If you are planning to watch any High Definition TV, or films, in the future, you will be better off with the Finlux as it is a full 1080p panel, 1920x1080 resolution. ( you will also get deeper blacks even though it has a lower dynamic contrast ratio). If you are looking for a more flexible TV, more connections for gaming, picture zoom, more wall mounting options, then go for the Samsung. (although it does have greyer blacks then the Finlux). If you can, come to our showroom as we have them both on display

Question from SJB: Asked on 23/01/2008 One response from Easycom states that the panel does not support 24fps - does this mean it doesn't support PAL? Does it only support NTSC? What does UK Sky broadcast in - is this not PAL 24fps? Thanks.

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 23/01/2008
PAl is broadcast in 25fps. 24fps technology has no baring on watching TV on a day to day basis. 24fps is the format that films are shot in, therefore to get the true movie experience, you will benefit from a TV that can display at 24fps. You must bare in mind that 24fps only works with pre recorded films.

Question from hyundyman: Asked on 18/01/2008 does this set surport 24fps

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 21/01/2008
no

Question from John: Asked on 17/01/2008 Hi there, whithin this thread it states that the contrast ration is 15000:1 but then someone else says its 6000:1. Which one is it? Thanks!

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 18/01/2008
we have had issues with the manufacturer over the Dynamic contrast ratio. Dependent upon the panel the Dynamic ratio will change, currently it is 6000:1. But to get a true indication of the picture quality you have to look at the relationship between the brightness, cd/m, and standard contrast ratio and the quality of the panel used. A high dynamic contrast ratio does not necessarily mean that you will get deaper blacks. When you look at the contrast of the equivelant Samsung, if you strip back the dynamic ratio to a standard ratio, you will see that they are about the same. Look at bothtogether and you will not be able to see any difference. if you look at the SonyKDL37P3020, with a dynamic ratio of 8000:1, it has a much greyer picture than the Finlux because it is a lower spec panel with a lower resolution

Question from Matt: Asked on 16/01/2008 Hi, on one spec you state contrast ratio @ 6000:1 and the other @ 15000:1 - which is correct?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 16/01/2008
6000:1

Question from Matthew: Asked on 15/01/2008 Where is your closest store/shop to Battersea? i want to come in to look at this particular TV

Question from ben: Asked on 14/01/2008 I bought this last week, and its fabulous. Looks brilliant and the quality is outstanding! Thanks guys.

Just a slight problem, Ive connected it to my surround sound, and the only output that gives is of the Digital tv channels. So when im on the PS3 and turn the surround sound on, I hear what ever channel the freeview is on. help!? thanks

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 14/01/2008
this will all depend on the quality of your home cinema but the normal route would be to connect your PS3 to your home cinema via the optical audio on the PS3

Its so cheap the price is putting me off, incase its not up to standard. Please help

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 02/01/2008
This TV is on display in our showroom. The quality is comparable with Samsung or LG, but because it is a relatively unknown brand, they cannot demand the higher prices of the better known brands. this also shows up the real cost of manufacturing a TV of this spec.

Question from Mark: Asked on 16/12/2007 Hello could you please explain what is the FULLPIX digital picture engine, does this do upscaling?
Many Thanks

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 17/12/2007
FullPIX Contrast engine simply expands the color range. Televisions will not actually produce the pure black and white, but shades that use very clear and very dark gray. FullPIX Contrast Engine expands this range of gray, so that the black is almost pure black and white, almost pure white. Modify the overall saturation of the image acting independently in 6 regions of color: red, green, blue, cyan, magenta and yellow.
Adapts to shine, with a special emphasis on the important areas of the image and strengthen the sense of depth.

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 06/11/2007
The finlux have a very good build and picture quality at a fraction of the price of the more known brands. If you after that sort of size why not have a look at a plasma instead of an LCD television.
