Question from andy: Asked on 17/07/2011 I am looking at the following ....

Mount DvR in garage, cameras around garage....
I have no network in garage other than wifi.... Without a lot of cabling...

Can I use a wireless network adaptor to connect the DvR to my router? I am keen to access from iPhone etc.....

Answer from mark h: Answered on 18/07/2011
Providing that you have a strong wireless signal yes you can. We would recommend using a wireless print server with Ethernet or a wireless bridge. The Netgear WNCE2001-100UKS is a good option. We could supply this for £45.97 Inc Vat

Question from Tim: Asked on 23/03/2011 Hi am I right in saying each camera will need its own power supply? Further, what would the longest recording period be before it records over ? Thanks

Answer from mark h: Answered on 24/03/2011
Yes each camera requires a PSU. You can extend or reduce the recording time by adjusting the frame rate, the quality and the resolution. To give a good level of recording on average you will get 17 days fro a 500GB had drive, but you could go down to as little as 5 days or extend to 30 should you want to. There is also the option of fitting a larger hard drive

Question from Gavin S: Asked on 20/03/2011 What distance will the cameras work over and still provide good images? What length of cabling is provided to each camera. How easy are they to self install?

Answer from Sean: Answered on 22/03/2011
Hi,
These cameras will see up to 15 meters at night, they will see further during the day, to see a face for facial recognition you would need to be within 5 meters, the cables provided are 18 meters long but you can get up to 36 meters, they are very simple to install, it would take about half a day, all you need to be able to do is use a drill and run cables, it is all plug and play.

Question from Catherine M: Asked on 27/01/2011 How would I actually view the recorded footage? Could I just plug this into my Apple Mac or do I need to get a Windows laptop?/ Dedicated monitor?

Answer from mark h: Answered on 27/01/2011
The footage will play on the dedicated software provided which can be loaded onto a Mac or on Windows media played. It may play in other payers that can play an AVI file. The footage can be either transferred onto a USB stick or transferred over a network that the DVR is connected to

Question from Alan: Asked on 25/12/2010 I'm not going to be constantly watching my phone so can I set my phone to alert me when motion is detected? Is there a cost like cost of a call or a text involved? [Android phone]

Answer from mark h: Answered on 29/12/2010
They can be set up to send email alerts on motion detection to any phone, but the eagle eyes viewing software wont currently work on Android phones, only iphone, Blackberry, Windows and Symbian
