Frequently Asked Questions

How do I send my device? »

The process is really simple! The first step is to use our online valuation form to see how much your device is worth. After that, we send you an email (normally within 5 minutes of completing the valuation form) to confirm your trade in request.

The email will contain a link to print out a label with your unique reference code ID on there as well as your address.

On the email there will also be a form for you to print out, please ensure you pop this inside the box when you send it to us so we know who the device has come from and the specs/condition/quoted value of the device!


Is it free to send to you? »

Yes! We offer a completely free Collect+ shipping option. All you need to do is print out the shipping label from your trade in confirmation email and drop the device off at your nearest collect+ point for us to collect. If you don’t want to use collect+ you can also send it using a method of your choice and if you choose to sell us your device after we have received it and evaluated it, we will give you a £5 postage refund.

Can I send more than one thing? »

Yes! You can send us more than one item. Just make you fill out a quote form for each laptop that you wish to send us. You will get labels and documents sent though to you for you to print and use on each device. Simply send off all of your devices together (packaged separately with their correct labels) either through the post or with our collect+ option. If you post your devices we will give you a £5 postage refund for each item!


Is the price I’m quoted guaranteed? »

Once your device arrives with us we’ll give it a once over and check the condition is as you’ve described. As long as you’ve described it fairly it should be the same as your initial quote, but if we spot any other issues the valuation may change and we will email you with a revised value. If you aren’t happy with the new quote, we can send your item back to you free of charge.


How do I get my money? Can I choose my payment option? »

We have three payment options to choose from, so you can choose which suits you best. We offer Paypal and BACS bank transfer options, as well as the option for a voucher to use on any one of our websites. The choice is yours!

After we’ve tested your device we will send you an email with a final valuation and the option to either get paid or have your item returned to you. When you choose to get paid, you’ll also be given the three payment options to choose from.

PayPal payments are normally sent within 48 hours. BACS Bank Transfer payment takes up to 5 working days. If you choose to take payment in the form of a voucher that you can use at any of our websites, you will receive a voucher code by email after you have accepted the valuation. You can spend this instantly!


What happens once you receive my tech? How will I know you have received it? »

We’ll keep you updated each step of the way, so we’ll send you an email to let you know once your device has arrived.


My items have arrived with you, how can I check their status? »

We’ll fire you an email when your device arrives with us send you email updates throughout the inspection/valuation process! This means you are always in the know about what we are doing with your device.


What if I change my mind and want it back? »

We’ll send it back, completely free of charge!

Once your device arrives with us we’ll give it a once over and check the condition is as you’ve described. Then we’ll drop you an email to confirm the value of your item and make sure you want to go ahead with the sale. If you change your mind about selling us your device or decide you don’t agree with the valuation we’ve given you, simply click the link within the email and we’ll get your laptop straight back to you, normally within 5 working days.


Some of my tech isn’t in the best condition, will you still accept it? »

Yes! When filling out our valuation form you can select the condition that your tech is in, so just select the condition you feel is correct for your device.


Do you accept broken or faulty devices? »

We do not accept faulty items and cannot offer you a valuation for them.


Deleting personal information »

If you forget to remove some data or wipe your device before sending to us, don’t panic! Our skilled engineers fully erase and reformat all the storage devices on your tech. This destroys all previous data and protects any sensitive information. We take data destruction very seriously so you can rest assured than any personal files and information you have stored on your machine will be securely erased and never recovered.
